As always, Saturday was a major errand day for us. Doing so allows us the whole of Sunday to relax and do whatever we like. Today was a long one, seven hours off the property, just to do the driving and get things done that have got to get done. There was getting some gas in the truck, get some stuff out of hock at the pawnshop (we had to pawn the trailer and weedwhacker and a bunch of movies waaay back when Quentin rehired, and we just kept paying them down a little at a time so they didn't turn around and sell them on us), got my shoes out of layaway, groceries (including phone cards for our phones, ouch, nearly $80 there alone), window shopped for a pruning saw so we can do limbing on trees better prior to or just after felling (depending on size of said tree), laundry, got home, unloaded everything, and then I relaxed and caught my breath for 40 minutes before finishing up.
Which included the cat box, trash pulled together, taken out and lit off, groceries put away, laundry put away ... whew. I'm pooped. And there are still a bunch of things to get done. One BIG thing Quentin got done today is new-used rear rims for my car. As many of you know, thanks to dents and other mishaps on Ozarks roads, my poor car runs on stock 14" rims on the front, and 13" Honda rims on the back. Neighbor Eric's car is a Honda which runs 13" rims, and he had a couple of 14" Chevy rims that need new tires, which he would run as extra spares. We're doing a straight swap, so my poor buggy will run right again, without me feeling like I'm leaning backwards all the time while I'm driving. We just need to get new tires on the rims so they can be swapped out and Eric can have the 13" rims with halfway decent tires on them.
Quentin started weedwhacking what passes for a yard, while I did all the other stuff that had to get done after we got home, and now it's time to just sit and relax. I don't know about you guys, but just reading what all we got done today is enough to make me tired all over again! So I'm going to hunt down books and call it a night. Hugs to everybody!
