I do not like our new lead for x-ray. I REALLY want my transfer to second shift after today. Through yesterday, our old lead, Anne, was there to train the new one, Virginia. All was well and normal. Today, Ms. Virginia, on her first day as lead by herself, turned into what is best described as a "minion of Gozer." I would go into detail, but just realized that if I do, I will be writing a novella about my workday and that would take a LONG time that I can better devote to building the e-commerce side of the farm business, wishlisting a bunch of stuff on Amazon, and working on writing on my books. These also have the added bonus of calming me down and bringing me loads of pleasure, so despite having to work tomorrow and put up with that female, I can have a good evening.
As for the tornadoes, I got out to the break room tonight and found that much of our area of the Ozarks is under either a flash flood warning, a tornado watch or a tornado warning. Our county is under a tornado warning until 9PM local time. Once I got home and stowed stuff, I grabbed tools and went about cutting more firewood. Got about twenty minutes into things and it started to sprinkle hard, so it was definitely time to come in. On the bright side, the clouds aren't that thick or dark, just a light gray, so we may get out of this with nothing more than a good wetting. Let us hope! In the meantime, I have dinner ready to eat (beef broccoli, yum) and want to find those freebie books for you, so enough writing today. Till next time, happy homesteading!
