Fun day, but wet

It's raining this morning, and it's supposed to rain for most of the next week. This is not good for getting things done outdoors before work, but good for my tomatoes and good for my writing. That last is slogging along, because part of what I'm doing requires me to do some extra formatting, so it takes a bit. But I think it will be worth it when it's done, if it works out like I want it to.

It's just chilly enough from the damp that we have the heater on. It's making the bedroom comfy for getting ready for work. I'm ready, but then again, I'm used to only having about an hour to get ready to roll. Quentin's taking his time as always, but he's used to having lots of time. The time I wait for him so we can ride to work together in the truck (thus saving some gas), I spend working on things either outdoors or on the computer. This next week is mostly going to be on the laptop, lol. I'm just glad that I've been able to get out the first few days this week and do something.

We did have a bit of excitement this morning first thing. I got up about 7AM to feed the boys (their schedule hasn't changed a bit when it comes to their tummies, haha! and found we had no power. Ooops. "Hey, honey, good morning," says my sleepy spouse from the bed. "Hey, sweetie," says I. "Can you call the power company, we have no juice." "SAY WHAT? We paid the bill!" "Yes, dear, they didn't shut off the power, I think everybody is out, I can't see Cliff's yard light through the trees." "Well, crap. Okay." Turns out quite a bit of the area had lost power, though we don't know why yet. But we got juice back around our usual wakeup time. Good think I don't rely on a electric clock for time and alarm, or we might still be asleep! Not that I'd mind, but work is important, too, in order to pay bills and get things done that need doing right now. There will come a day when I don't have to leave the house to work, but that is not now.

For the moment, however, I need to find you guys some books and get some writing done. Sure hope the freebies list isn't full of nothing but cookbooks today ... I'm getting a little tired of Paleo everything, lol!!!
