Thank goodness for the heaters, though the trailer isn't that well-insulated. Most of it's compacted or settled over the years, so it doesn't do well to keep things warm. The heaters at least kept the house well above freezing, just not into major comfort zone. We both slept in layers of clothes last night, him in flannel jammies and a warm shirt over it, and me in my flannel nighty and houserobe! This with all the afghans on the bed and we still snuggled tight for shared body heat. It was just that chilly after work outside, getting to the car and getting it warmed up, that despite the house at least being mid-60sF, we never got thawed out good before bed.
The cold made it so I have had to start smuggling my needlework into the plant to work on it, and asking folks to kindly leave me alone to work on it. So far, they are complying, which is nice. Third butterfly is done, fourth is started. Me, I'm exhausted. Work wasn't too bad, just long, and colder than normal (due to the outside temps, because the heaters in the plant just can't compete well with this much cold. So that's why we were so cold last night, and likely will be the next several nights while this cold snap goes on. We are cold all day at work, have to walk from car to plant and back again in the cold and then we just can't get warm. I hate winter, and it's not even officially winter yet.
